A different ‘cool’

Remember When I Said Life Is About Affirmation?

I Do…

It Dawned On Me Today - As I Replayed Last Night In My Head - That Affirmation Doesn’t Stop There; At Simple Affirmation.

It Continues Into All Aspects Of Life - Self Affirmation Representing A Primary Component.

I’ve Been Talking To Friends Lately, And Have Been Discussing The Horrible Divisions Of Students In The Junior Class - It Seems That The Social Structures Are Horribly Out Of Whack:

I Find It Somewhat Dissapointing That I Am Part Of The “Popular” Group…

I Fully Admit That When I Made My Way - With Surprising Ease - Into This Group, I Had The Full Intention Of Swingin’ In The “Popular” Circles. I Wanted To Be “Cool”, And I Wanted Other People To See Me As “Cool”.

I Am Now Realizing Though That This Group Is Not Representative Of The Truely Cool Kids In My Grade.

After Talking In Depth With Some Really Cool People, I Realized What I Probably Should Have Seen All Along…

The “Popular” Kids Are Only So, B/c They Say So, And Have Fooled The Rest Of The Grade Into Believing Them.

It’s A Joke, And The Tough Part Is That Most People Don’t See It. They See A Social Structure That Will Forever Boggle Them…

I Was Talking With A Person Who Wanted To Make Friends With Some New Folks, But Dared Not Talk To Said People - Citing This Reason: “They Are Too High Above Me”…

That Is A Joke - It’s Sad, And Shouldn’t Be.

The Only Reason That They Are “Popular” Is B/c They Can Fake Themselfs Better - They Can Fake Self-Confidence, Fake Friendship, And Fake Life…

I Don’t Want That… I Hope You Don’t Either. It Is Time That We Realize People Should Desire Friends, Not Popularity…

Perhaps This Makes No Sense…

Pray Hope That It Does.

I Love You All

I Desire Friends - Not Popularity. Remind Me If I Forget.
